Current stats:
Height : 6'2 Weight : 185 Wingspan : 8ft. Vertical : 25in Pushups : 20 in 1 minute (Needs work!)
80/100 Midrange Jumpers (20 each of the 5 spots)
35/50 3point shooting (10 each of the 5 spots)
I can dunk on fast breaks, but I am looking to be able to in the halfcourt as well.
In my current 3v3 tournament I am averaging 27ppg 7reb 6ast 1stl. (All rounded up) We play 2 games every weekend and we are on our 3rd week. About 7 more weeks to go.
165 crossover dribbles in one minute. ( I train with soemone and timing the dribbles really helped my handles) I am in the process of timing Behind The Back and Between the legs as well as In N Outs.
I made this because I seen 2fast2good ask for more activity on the forum so I will be contributing more.
Any thought on this journal please share.

How do you train your handles? Do you just pick one move and see how many you can do in a minute?

I actually do 2ball drils and some drills of freak handles. But what really helped my speed of my handles was timing them. Like how many through the legs can you do in one minute. Then I would test it another day and so on.
I got 165 crosses recently. The first 3 times I did it I was in the 95-115 range. A week later I hit the 165 mark, so I'm pretty sure it helped me with speed lol. I will give you updates when it improves.

I think it just gives you a reason to go faster. Because you can do the same thing witha set number, for example if you want to do 100 in & outs and you go as fast as you can, you can get the same results but if you time yourself you can have a reason to go as fast as you could.

Yes I believe you are right, I am competitive so I guess I am competing with myself to beat my own record.
It helped me improve from 115-165 in a week which is pretty good IMO.

Yeah, really the only way to improve your handles is to either add coordination that it takes to do a certain drill, or pound the ball trying to go harder and faster until you lose it. If your not doing that your not improving.

That's why I think the timing thing works because it makes you go as hard/fast as you can.

My shooting % this week so far.
88/100 Mid range shots.
42/50 3point shots.
1 dribble pull ups 9/10 Left and right from the elbows.
Off the screen 8/10 Left 9/10 Right
Hesitation Pull Ups Left 8/10 Right 6/10 (Needs work!!!)
2-3 feet beyond 3point. Left Wing: 6/10 Middle 6/10 Right Wing: 4/10 (Improvement needed!!!)
I will be doing handling session very soon!! I am not currently doing a program because I have seen better results working alone with my own ways. I will continue to update you guys with new results.
Actually timed a mile run today as well. (I am working on conditioning as well) Probably my biggest weakness is getting tired to fast.
Mile Time-- 5:48 (Conditioning needs improvement!!)

Just remember to contrast shower, foam roll, and stretch w/ 9 hours of sleep and you'll be able to train pretty hard. Not sure on your question though
