Hey, i was wondering what you guys think about a weighted basketball to increase dribbling/passing speed/power. I would think this would mess up my shot, but as with weight lifting, I think if I just do my shooting practice AFTER practicing dribbling/passing with weighted ball I would be just fine. What do you guys think? I have one with me and I am goin to use it but I dont know if I should just use it like 2x a week.

Yes. They are VERY good for dribbling power and you can use them for finishing too. I've never heard of passing but try it out it that seems like a good idea. Use it BEFORE though then use the regular ball after to adjust.

i dont think its a good idea for finishing cuz for finishing u need a soft touch

Yea but i will use a reg basketball right after to get my touch back. I guess its kind of similar to weight lifting.

Mikan Drills floaters especially, they require you to push hard so when you get back to a regular ball you will have a lot of arc (which you need) and give you a soft touch.

Alright and what do you think about doing shooting with it? Only form shooting though. Maybe only 2-6 feet out. Also with passing ill have a dot on a wall or something and try to hit it from various angles using bounce passes,chestpasses, etc.

Yeah thats good for passing. I wouldn't use it for shooting tbh because I don't know the effects and power honestly isn't a problem. I used to weigh less than 100 pounds and I could shoot from 25 feet without changing my release (after 25 feet I had to flick the ball harder) So its really irrelevant just fix your form and you be chucking em from way downtown effortlessly.
