Hi i'm new to this forum i though a journal would be a great way to track my progress. I just turned 13 a couple of months ago and im really lookin to improve in the next couple of months.
Some of the things im good at is im super quick and fast, im a good passer, and a good finisher , good ball handling , but i really want to get ball-on-a-string handles and i have quite good athleticism and strength and some of the things im not good at are im a pretty bad shooter but im starting to improve, also i have a good left hand but im still not able to do everything with my left that i can with my right, and my defense is sometimes great but other times i cant guard anyone
right now i play similar to baron davis when he was a hornet
for the next 2 months im still in season so im looking to improve my ball handling left hand my shooting and my finishing abillity
some measurements
im 5'7.5 ft
130 lbs
no step vert 23 inches
running 1ft 25inches
any advice would be appreciated
i dont have any programs but i have about 200 dollars to spend on a couple

Glad to have you here man, good luck on your journal.
As for programs to buy, anything by Damin Altizer is good. I also highly recommend Ganon Baker's stuff and the Point Guard Elite series by Jason Otter.

Nice man! If you want to work on your handles dominant handles by damin altizer is very good. For shooting begin every workout with 1 hand form shooting then 2 hand form shooting before moving into the game speed shots. This will really help with form. Whatever you do go at it as hard as you can and stay consistent.

Hey guys i havent been on it 4 months and i kinda forgot about this place anyway my season went really well even though we lost in the finals so in April our season ended and thats when i my offseason started. For the first couple months i just played pick for hours and i must say my finishing imrpoved drastically i can finish any layup now. Also my passing is elite now because most times when i played i just kept my head up and all i did was focus on passing not even trying to score. Hovever my ball handling did improve a good amount but its still not at an elite level also my shooting didnt really improve that much. That's the thing with pick up it will really improve your finishing, defense, and passing but for things like ball handling and especially stuff like footwork and shooting you need to get indivual practice reps to really see a big difference. So right now im overseas visting family for the next month and i dont have any access to a hoop so what im trying to improve is my ball handling, my passing accuracy, and my left hand. For athletism i just do plyo's and do bodyweight exercises such as push ups, lunges, pistol squats etc., and sprinting,
So right now i would say My strengths are Im super fast and quick, have great finishing ability(havent played against much size though the tallest big man pairing ive played against have been 6'6 and 6'4) and great passing abillity, im quite strong, and i play really aggressive defense now
For weakness i would say my ball hanlding is good but its not as elite as my other skills, also my left hand improved and finishing well with it but its not equal with my right hand yet, and my biggest weakness which is really holding me back is my shooting its not really a problem against people my own age but when i play really good high school players they just back off a step or 2 and then they can stop my drive and lose passing angles so what are some good drills i could do for shooting without a net
also i grew about an inch or 2 since my last post Thanks for reading and any advice welcome

Awesome! My shooting is also holding me back and I'm also going on vacation tomorrow lol. First you need to fix your form if it needs fixed (it sounds like it does.) Then you have to just get reps up. I would recommend going on Facebook and looking out damin altizer basketball group and joining. From there there is a man named best recruits (not his real name obviously that is a company lol) but he will help you out you just need to give him a video he is one of the top shooting coaches in the nation. He can fix your form and then you just need to get game speed reps up from there. Good luck!!

For your weaknesses I really recommend dominant handles by Damin Altizer and for your left hand just do more reps with it.
