What I mean is taking a basketball, putting your hands on the basketball instead of the floor when doing the pushup. I noticed my arms were shaky and I could barely do 10. So what do es this help you with skillwise.

Skillwise? Nothing. It's a strength & conditioning exercise, a more difficult version of the pushup. Trainers mostly use it more as a mental toughness exercise during a workout.

It can help with passing power since thats basically the weighted version of a pass. But again, thats not skillwise either thats just getting stronger arms so you have the ability to improve skillwise.
