These are the only things I have at my gym except for leg curls for my legs. Some dumbbells too. But anyways, which would be the best choice to work on my legs. And don't say change gyms because that is impossible, its not happening, thats ruled out.

Leg press. Just do a variety of single-leg exercises with DB's, hit some RDL's and call it a day.

The best thing, according to Kelly Baggett, are certainly squats. Obviously, with the Smith Machine you are not doing exactly a squat but that's probably the closest option between these. So, if in you, I'll go with the Smith Machine Squat.

depending on the weight range of the dumbells i would just do dumbell exercises there are many good leg ones and if you the dumbells are heavy enough you should be fine

Also definitely do bulgarian ss's they are just as good as squats imo for basketball players.

Leg press is perfectly fine, it has no more chance of screwing your knees up than squatting does.

Leg press is perfectly fine, it has no more chance of screwing your knees up than squatting does. True AS LONG AS YOU TRAIN IN BALANCE A lot of problems are caused by muscle imbalances leg press hits the quadriceps so you will need to really make sure to train the posterior chain too that is the glutes and hamstrings. So there are no free weight barbells at your gym and a squat rack at your or a friends house it's an option? And training at school isnt an option? And doing two isolation exercises wont have the same great athletic carryover as the squat but do your best with what u have man

Analysing just the leg movement of the leg press and you clearly see that you are doing a similar movement pattern to the squat with different loading and of course rotated 135 degrees (presuming 45 degree leg press) Yes the loading is different but why would strength coaches physios and therapists encourage the leg press if it placed excessive torque on the knee joint
